The seven hundred and thirtieth album: #730 Alice in Chains - Dirt
One of the things I end up doing exploring this list is figuring out quite what the different genres are. To me, this album is primarily a metal album - with its loud guitars and sounds - with some ballads mixed in, but it's classified just as much as grunge, which doesn't feel like it would be quite as hard sounding. I get a lot of Metallica from this, perhaps with a less artistic bend, lessy bassy vocals, but a sound that is as dark and resonates on a deep level.
