The seven hundred and twenty-seventh album: #727 Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
Little Earthquakes is a sensitive album, with Tori Amos' gentle voice and piano skills on full display as she performs these wonderful pop tracks. They are gentle in places, with the occasional rock guitar and ongoing jazz moments. She's up there with the other great female singer-songwriters, matching Kate Bush with her performances but a clearly different approach to production and sound. It's a wonderful production that's been lovely to escape into for most tracks, with some personal, harder to listen to tracks to follow that as well.
